Claire Brewster's work is to recover, cut out from old maps and atlases from which she creates delicate, intricate and detailed forms all related to wildlife and flora. Claire is inspired by nature and gives a new life to the obsolete. Her birds, insects and flowers transcend borders and pass freely between countries with scant regard for rules on the soil or the effects of biodiversity. They never lose north and move with this extraordinary faculty to get one's bearings, no need for maps, atlases to know precisely where they are.
