AXO Bread & butter plate
The dinnerware collection “Axo” in Limoges porcelain was designed following the geometric projection technique where the vanishing lines remain parallels. This technique, used by architects and in particular by constructivist artist of the Russian avant-garde, El Lissitsky, is called axonometry. Inspired by supremacist space, this pioneer rethinks architecture from space experiments in abstract painting. The volumes of Axo create the perspective and the cross section. And then they are subjected to all kinds of rotations and optical distortions, sometimes referring to the space without dimensions of the cosmos sometimes to the aerial view of the urbanism of the future.
